Determines how much shm a particular connection will need based on the
parameters..

moved functions:
- create_basic_hosts()
- create_multinic_hosts()
- create_dctcp_hosts()

So we can use git in labs etc.

This enables qemu hosts to still run if KVM is not available, albeit
much slower.

Removes source and objects for qemu and linux kernel, packer cache, and
raw images.

These are no longer included in base image.

Disabled by default as verilator is a bit tricky with versions etc.

As this is only required because the rdma proxy has external
dependencies.

Binutils changed something about how it generates symbol tables in
recent versions (newest ubuntu LTS at least). This adds a patch to fix
the resulting error.

Removes the -cpu host parameter to qemu which only works with kvm.
