The Beaufort Police Department is asking for help locating a man suspected of robbing a fast food restaurant Monday morning.

Officers say the incident happened around 3:30 AM at the McDonalds in Beaufort.

The suspect reportedly approached employees, demanded money, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect walks with a distinct limp in his right leg and was disguised with a wig, sunglasses, and a red bandana around his face.

"The safety and well-being of our employees and customers is my highest priority and I'm grateful to report that no one was hurt during Monday's robbery," franchise owner Bill Purcell said in a statement. "Our restaurant is doing everything we can to assist the local authorities in their investigation."
