의미적 분할(semantic segmentation)은 이미지의 각 픽셀에 레이블 또는 클래스를 할당합니다. 분할(segmentation)에는 여러 종류가 있으며, 의미적 분할의 경우 동일한 물체의 고유 인스턴스를 구분하지 않습니다. 두 물체 모두 동일한 레이블이 지정됩니다(예시로, "car-1" 과 "car-2" 대신 "car"로 지정합니다).
